Convert PDF to Microsoft Word®

PDF Studio allows you to convert PDF documents to a Microsoft Word file using the PDF Studio conversion engine or a direct connection with the Microsoft Office application installed on your computer.

How to Convert a PDF to a Microsoft Word Document

PDF Studio has 2 different methods to convert a PDF document to a Microsoft Word file.

Converting with PDF Studio Conversion Engine

This conversion option uses Qoppa Software's new custom conversion engine. This is a new feature released for 2022 and currently in BETA. Not all PDF features may be supported or created in the new Word file.

  1. Open the PDF Document you wish to convert
  2. Go to the Convert Tab > Convert To >  Convert to .docx on the toolbar
  3. Choose the location to save the Word file and click OK to begin conversion

Converting with Microsoft Word integration

This conversion option is only available on Windows with a valid version of Microsoft Office installed and requires a valid version of Microsoft Word (2013 or later). See Conversion Preferences for more details.

  1. Open the PDF Document you wish to convert
  2. Go to the Convert Tab > Convert To >  Send to MS Word on the toolbar
  3. Microsoft Word will then be launched with the PDF document to complete the conversion
  4. Once converted make sure to save the Word file
