Converting a PDF to RTF Document

PDF Studio is able to converr text contained within a PDF document to an RTF formatted document. During this process PDF Studio will extract only the text data and export it to a new .rtf file. The RTF file can then be edited with any word processor that supports the RTF format.

Note: PDF Studio does not currently support exporting images in RTF conversion.

How to Extract Text from a PDF

  1. Open the PDF Document you wish to convert
  2. Go to the Convert Tab > Convert To >  Rich Text on the toolbar
  3. Choose a file name and location to save the .rtf document
  4. Click Save to begin the conversion process

Note: Only documents that contain text using font characters can be extracted. If the PDF contains scanned images of documents or text created using Path Content you will first need to OCR the PDF in order to be able to extract text.
