- New Qoppa's brand new PDF reader and parser engine which allows for:
- better handling of PDF documents that are formatted incorrectly.
- better handling of bigger documents due to the revamp of memory management.
- New (Windows, Mac) Support for CJK fonts (Chinese, Japanese and Korean fonts). PAS can now render PDF documents which use CJK character sets as well as extract text from such documents.
- New Support for barcodes. XFA form fields containing a barcode ui will now be rendered properly in PAS when printing documents or extracting images.
- Improvement Additional file verification when watching a folder for processing. The server will not attempt to process the file until the file is available and the server has full control.
- Improvement The PAS Manager printer list is loaded by the server so that only the printers available to QoppaPAS service on ther server are visible when editing a job.
- Improvement PAS can now process files embedded into or attached to incoming PDF documents. Portfolios files are supported as well.

- Existing customers update to the new version for free, please contact us to get a license key for this new version. We have changed our installer and thus recommend that you uninstall the older version before installing the new one. Unless you are running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, your settings, logs and jobs will be preserved automatically. Windows 7 and Vista customers, please be advised that the application data was moved under ProgramData. Contact us if you need help.
- New Split between PDF Automation Server on the server side and PDF Automation Manager on the client side. This allows to setup PDF Automation as a service running on the server and monitor the jobs progress from any remote client machine.
- New Added new Text to PDF Job for converting text files to PDF documents.
- New Added new Preflight Job to preflight PDF documents against PDF/X profiles and generate preflight reports. This job allows for specifying different output based on the preflight results.
- New Edit Document Properties Job now allows to set PDF documents initial layout and magnification settings: navigation tab, page layout, magnification, open to page.
- New Added ability to specify an order when processing zip files (alphabetical or by timestamp).
- Improvement Improved graphical user interface.
