PDF-To-Images and PDF From Images: Exporting Pages as Images and Importing Images as Pages

PDF Studio allows to export the pages of the current document as images or to import images as pages in the current document. To do so, click Images from the top toolbar and then choose the appropriate option.

Exporting Pages as JPEG - Exporting pages of the current document in JPEG format
Exporting Pages as TIFF - Exporting pages of the current document in TIFF format
Exporting Pages as PNG - Exporting pages of the current document in PNG format
Importing Images as Pages - Importing images as new pages in the current document

If you're looking to insert an image into an existing page of the current document, you can create a custom stamp from the given image . For more information, please see the documentation on how to create custom stamps.

To export pages as JPEG, choose Images > Export Pages as JPEG from the top toolbar. The application will display the Export Pages as JPEG Images dialog. Choose the appropriate options in the dialog and click the OK button to start.

• Destination Folder - Select the directory you wish to save the images to. Click on the browse button to browse to the desired directory or type in the directory directory in the text box.
• File Name Pattern - Enter the desired pattern for the output file names. Current page number and file extenstion (.jpeg) will be appended to the pattern to create the final file name.
• DPI Resolution - Choose the desired resolution in DPI used to render the page. 72 is the PDF native resolution.
• JPG Quality - Select the desired quality of JPEG compression. Compression varies
  
  • from 0 = very high compression - very low quality
  • to 10 = low compression - very hight quality
    based on the quality parameter. Some guidelines for the quality value: 8 high quality, 5 medium quality, 2 low quality.

To export pages as TIFF, choose Images > Export Pages as TIFF from the top toolbar. The application will display the Export Pages as TIFF Images dialog. Choose the appropriate options in the dialog and click the OK button to start.

The options in the Export Pages as TIFF dialog are as follow:

• Destination Folder - Select the directory you wish to save the images to. Click on the browse button to browse to the desired directory or type in the directory directory in the text box.
• File Name Pattern - Enter the desired pattern for the output file names. Current page number and file extenstion (.jpeg) will be appended to the pattern to create the final file name.
• DPI Resolution - Choose the desired resolution in DPI used to render the page. 72 is the PDF native resolution.
• Optimize Images for Faxing - Check this box to optimize images for faxing. The compression used is CCITT Group 4.

To export pages as PNG, choose Images > Export Pages as PNG from the top toolbar. The application will display the Export Pages as PNG Images dialog. Choose the appropriate options in the dialog and click the OK button to start.

The options in the Export Pages as PNG dialog are as follow:

• Destination Folder - Select the directory you wish to save the images to. Click on the browse button to browse to the desired directory or type in the directory directory in the text box.

Importing Images as Pages

To import images in the current PDF document, choose Images > Importing Image as Pages from the top toolbar. The application will display the Import Images as Pages dialog. Choose to import all files from a given directory or choose individuals files and click the Start button.
